As you run in the race of life, so many things will want to stand in your way to discourage and frustrate you. This is always the plan of the enemy. But I need to let you know that the moment you give up, you simply give up your destiny. Men may say so many things about you or let you feel you are doing nothing when you are putting in your best. Yet you must refuse to be discouraged.

David was a man who had cause to be discouraged in life, but he always refused. One such account is what we read today. And he eventually gained dominion over his enemies. Friend, discouragement is a weapon of the enemy employed through people, even your friends, to dry your courage. Most people used by the enemy at such a time may not be conscious, but you must be able to identify them.

Whoever tells you that you can’t make it, you are too weak, you are not bright enough, you are not Mr. ‘S’ or ‘Y’, is just out to discourage you. Please laugh at such words in your heart and continue in your belief courageously. No man ever bows to discouragement, fear or threat of the situation that will ever be victorious. Such will never ascend to see the light of glory, such will never be announced or proclaimed a champion, which is the reason you must be stronger than discouragement. When God see your courage, He will release grace for your success.

Prayer: Lord, help me to live above discouragement

“GOD IS ALWAYS A COURAGEOUS BEING, SO YOU SHOULD”
