Our mouth is a major gate through which things go in and out of our lives. Whatever goes in through our mouths inform of consumables have little or nothing to do against our destiny, but the body. God’s word says, “life and death are in the power of the tongue” (Proverbs 18:21).
Even though many of us do not know the power of our words, yet the enemy knows and takes advantage of it many times. God’s word says, “a man is snared by the words of his mouth” (Proverbs 6:2). Therefore you should learn to keep your mouth. It is not all things that should come out of it (Matthew 12:36-37). Whatever comes out of your mouth goes a long way to affect your achievement (Mark 7:18-23). When some matters are not yet mature enough you don’t say them anyhow, anywhere, else you will be trapped.
For example, you’ve just bought a land or made the foundation, it is not a mature news for all until you have finished the house. You are gathering money for your car or business, that is not a mature news. It is true that there are some things you need to tell others. These people must either be matured men of God who could pray along with you or trusted people to help you carry out the assignment. Please be wise.
Our scripture today says, “even a fool when he keeps his mouth, is considered wise” (Proverbs 17:28). Friend, be wise. The enemy will continue to be there but you can succeed, enemy or no enemy. Only you are wise. Receive grace in Jesus name.
Prayer: Lord,
grant me the grace to keep my mouth.

ARE THE MAJOR DETERMINANTS OF YOUR DESTINY”
