No matter what the enemy is doing to afflict a man, if he is disciplined, they will not overcome him. Discipline is the ability to subject or control oneself to do what is right, notwithstanding the situation or the challenges around. God cherishes people who can do this, and they will surely be delivered from the troubles.
Daniel was carried as a slave to Babylon, but he was not a slave in his mind. Many are free physically but are enslaved in their mind. So he does not just get to Babylon to be doing anything but only what is right. A privilege was given to him to stay in the palace and to drink and eat the palace food, but he knew that it was a sin to the God of Israel to drink strong drinks (Leviticus 10:9, Proverbs 20:1). So he disciplined himself to please the Lord notwithstanding his problem, and he was lifted at last.
Friend, if you let your challenges turn you into a thief, liar, drunkard, wicked one, fornicator and the like, then the devil has won. His goal is to actually destroy your life and destiny. So, in the midst of the challenges, discipline yourself to stand, even at your own little level. Refuse to join wrong associations, know where to go and where not. Don’t join evil practices around you. Stand right for the truth notwithstanding. Then the Lord shall soon see your uprightness and favour you. Where they said you will not be, you will soon be there. God has given you a lasting glory. It might look delayed, wait for it, and it shall soon come.
Prayer: Lord, uphold me by your right
hand of righteousness (Isaiah 41:10)

WILL SOON BE BRIGHT”
