Sometimes our challenges make us lose focus on God. We need to realise that this is the trick of the devil. He only wants to smartly disconnect us from our source. And a river that is disconnected from its source will soon dry up.   Abraham was looking for his own way to make things happen in his life and started losing focus on God by getting another wife to fulfil the promise of God. There is a need for us to understand the power of our belief. Many of us do not know that we are what we believe. Both the spirit of God and of the devil act on what you believe. Your new life in Christ cannot work with doubt and fear (2 Timothy 1:7). Life cannot deliver to you more than you believe. If your belief system is fear, death and defeat, that is what will keep happening around you. Even your strength responds to your belief (Joshua 14:10-11, Psalms 27:13).

You need to know that your belief determines your end result in life. It does not matter where you are now, believe you will succeed, and that shall be at last. Your desire in life is channeled through your belief. Your belief can enslave or release you. Your belief will either break or build you. Your belief determines the extent God can work in your life (Matthew 13:58). Wrong belief can cripple your ability for creativity and make you irresponsible, and you can begin to blame people for your failure.

There are three things people can believe; they are fact, lie and truth. Facts are human findings, lies are of the devil, and the word of God is the truth. To be set free from wrong belief, learn to always resist and reject anything that is against the word of God in your life. Dissociate yourself from the wrong people and be selective about the information you are exposed to. Friend, believe that you will succeed (Jeremiah 29:11). Believe that you are blessed (3 John 2). Believe that you shall live long (Psalms 91:16), and it will be to you accordingly.

Prayer: Lord, purge my heart of wrong beliefs.
