Children of God need to know that whosoever is against them is against God. Knowing this will let you put less value on the enemy. God’s word says, “If God be for us who can be against us” (Romans 8:31). The major problem most people have is that they do not know the greatness of God that dwells in them (1 John 4:4). One of the things that may allow the enemy to be ruling over your life is the fact that you always rebel against the Lord. 

In the scripture we read today, after God has done everything to bring the Israelites out of Egypt and is about to take them to Canaan, He instructed them to send spies to spy the land. Ten of the twelve spies came to discourage the people. This made God annoyed with His people, and they never got to the promised land. 

To rebel against God means to disregard, or disobey the instructions of the Lord because of the fear of people, or because of the magnitude of your problem. This could also mean compromising your faith in Christ because of a challenging situation. Friend, I need to let you know that God is on your side and He delights in you. Do you know that even your enemies are afraid of you? This is because they see God with you, though your physical eyes cannot see Him. Stop being afraid of the enemy, it’s a sin unto the Lord, for you underrate your God and overrate your enemy. 

Refuse to waste as the Israelites did. Keep obeying God. Don’t stop obeying Him with your tithe because of the delayed blessing. It is in your persistent obedience to him that your best shall be delivered. God is on your side. You are bound to win. 

Prayer: Lord, help me not to rebel against your power in me.

“STOP FEARING YOUR SITUATION, FEAR THE LORD AND KEEP OBEYING HIM”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.
