VALUE YOURSELF

1 Peter 2:1-10 
Devotional:- “But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;” (V. 9) NKJV

If anyone is going to enjoy the love of God, he must see himself as lovely. One of the ways for someone to see themselves as lovely is by valuing themselves. You need to know that of all the creatures of God, not only on earth but also in heaven, you are the most special. According to the word of God, there is no other creature that is as valuable as you are. You are the reason for the labour of the devil (1 Peter 5:8). You are the envy of the demons. You are the envy of the angels. A great percentage of the angels are serving the heirs of salvation (Hebrews 1:14).

The scripture we read today calls you a chosen one. That is, among the multitude, God selected you out for Himself. You are a royal priesthood, that is, you are a kingly priest of God. A holy nation and not a person; nations are in you. Your new creation is international in nature. His own special people: that is, you are precious to God. You know that it is a great thing to be called a child of God (1 John 3:1)? It means you are an heir of God (Galatians 4:4-7). You are the apple of His eye (Zechariah 2:8). You are His beloved (Romans 9:25). And He dwells in you (1 Corinthians 3:16).

One of the tricks of the devil is to make you have consistent negative thoughts so that you don’t value yourself. The devil knows that this is key to confidence, courage and creative manifestation. No man will ever be his best, except if he sees himself as the best man. If God has called you special and you agree with him, then you will emerge as one. Your situation cannot determine your name; neither can your challenges, but your God can. So you are a strong factor determining what you shall be. You are nothing less than special. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to start to value myself.
“IT IS WHAT YOU SAY YOU ARE THAT PEOPLE WILL CALL YOU”

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
