There is no one that the devil doesn’t want to discourage. That is why we must seek to hear what will encourage us. Do you know that your life can be highly productive? You only need to be motivated and encouraged to move forward. Friend, if the company you keep does not motivate you, if the people who counsel you don’t challenge your faith, if the people you belong to doesn’t help you discover the potentials in you for greatness, there is a need to move away from such. CHOICE OF JOY

CHOICE OF JOY

Acts 16:20-30
Devotional:- “But at midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.” (V.25) NKJV

So many people in this world have not woken up to the fact that the way they live is their choice. One of the greatest errors is to think that the situation a man finds himself, is the determining factor of his life. This is not true. Please come to an awareness of this truth from now on: that you are living as you have chosen to live.

Get to know that you are a creature of choice. Whatever your choice is, that is your lot. God chooses no evil for anyone in life (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether you are happy or not, whether you are rich or not, whether you are healthy or not, it is your choice; if you decide otherwise from now and stand by your decision, things will change for you.

Paul and Silas were in prison because of the gospel of Jesus Christ, but they had the right understanding that their circumstances should not determine their mood. So right in the prison yard, they choose to be joyful, just like Joseph also (Genesis 40:5-8). They therefore began to sin and pray. Since God inhabits the praises of his people, their songs of joy drew the attention of God (Psalm 22:3). As God stepped into the prison, just like on Mount Sinai (Exodus 19:17-20), the foundation of the prison could not stand God’s presence; it had to break into a great earthquake, and their bonds were loose. Friend, choose joy, and God will also find it easy to come around you and set you free. No matter what the case may be, choose to remain joyful. And every other thing will fall in place for you. Some choose sorrow and die (1 Corinthians 10:10). You choose joy and live.

Prayer: Lord, give me the courage to always choose joy
“JOY OR SORROW IS A MATTER OF CHOICE”
