ENVY NO ONE

 ENVY NO ONE

Genesis 37:1-11
Devotional:- “And his brothers envied him, but his father kept the matter in mind.” (V.11) NKJV

For a man to enjoy God’s love being wonderfully demonstrated to him, he must constitute a habit of not envying anyone. This is the reason why many cannot demonstrate genuine love to others. It is time you begin to understand that your value is not comparable.

Envy is an emotional act people put on when they feel someone is better than them. Envy is always the mother of negative jealousy. It breeds bitterness and pushes people to commit all kinds of crimes. Some people’s reason for being armed robbers is that since they could not make it legitimately, they must go and get it by force from the hands of those who have made it. The truth is that there is no one who cannot make it.

The problem with Joseph’s brother was that they did not know the truth of the word of God. As children of Abraham, all of them are already pronounced as successful in life. Joseph was only seeing his own first (Genesis 26:4). But since they did not know the truth, they were envious and then finally sold their brother to slavery (Genesis 37:28). And since God is ever faithful, He still made him shine. But in the end, they all became great.

Friend, if anyone has something that you don’t have, be mature enough never to envy him/her. Yours is coming and will also be glorious. It is the unbelievers that should envy us and not we against our neighbours. Be happy at others' progress and rejoice with them. Don’t congratulate someone only to get home and be weeping. When your own comes, it will be the best and the latest. There is no level God cannot take you to. Keep serving faithfully, and you will soon become the envy of the world.

Prayer: Lord, help me to wait for my time.
“TOP IS FOR EVERYONE WHO IS WAITING FOR THEIR TIME”
