RELEASING OTHERS

 RELEASING OTHERS

Matthew 18:21-35
Devotional:- "So My heavenly Father also will do to you if each of you, from his heart, does not forgive his brother his trespasses” (V. 35) NKJV

Men can easily shout, “Away with him, kill him,” to others because they are not the offender. Very many parents will bitterly discipline their children for an offence they too have committed in the past, for which they were not killed. It is always easy to be a judge, though most judges cannot stand the face of trial. That is why the word of God instructs us not to judge others (Matthew 7:1-6).

The scripture we read today reveals the wickedness of men. A man who owed his master so much, just like we all owe God so much. He was forgiven by his master, but cannot forgive his fellow servant. He rather locked him up in police custody for torment. His master heard and also reversed his decision on him for judgement.

Friend, who are the people you have refused to forgive? No matter what they have done, you've done worse things to God. You will be wise to also forgive, just like God has forgiven you (Matthew 6:14; 7:24). The truth is that you are doing more harm to yourself than good when you don’t forgive others. This will simply constitute tension and bitterness in your heart. And whenever you see them, you experience sorrow and discomfort. Many people’s heaven is blocked because of unforgiveness. As soon as you forgive, your rain shall come. Why not release them by forgiving them? Then you also shall be free, for God will forgive you and bring peace to your heart. Please know that some people are made to offend you and this is for your training. They are use by God to humble you and make you wise. When your teachers correct you sharply in your school days, did you not forgive them? Yes, you did, because you had no option. Those people who God uses to offend you are part of your teachers. You have no option than to over look it and move on. Arise, stand up today and forgive. Then your peace shall multiply for progress.

Prayer: Lord, grant me grace to forgive and forget.
WHEN YOU LET GO, THEN YOU LET GOD”
