CHILDREN OF GOD

 CHILDREN OF GOD

I John 3:1-3
Devotional:- “Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him” (V.1) NKJV

One of the unique things on earth is that, each one belongs to one family or the other. Some are from a great family, their name sounds great, and others are from a family that is not well-known. The truth is that, the lineage each of us belongs to, sometimes speaks and shows in our live.

Those who are seen as children of great people in the world are often counted as privileged. But the scripture we read today is aimed at making you appreciate the privilege of being a child of God. It doesn’t matter whether you are born into a great family on earth or not. God has decided to bestow His love on you by calling you His child (Galatians 4:7). This is the greatest family in heaven and earth. The moment you are born again, you are born of God (John 1:12). Not of flesh and blood but of the spirit and the word of God (John 3:6). If people mock you today, it is because they don’t know who you are, but they shall soon know. That is the reason you should know. It is when you know that the people will know, because whatever is in your heart reflect on you (Proverbs 27:19).

Friend, you are a child of the most high God. You therefore need to live in this hope and confidence. The glory and the beauty of your father cannot help but come on you. He is great, and you cannot be a victim of life (1 John 5:4). He is strong; you cannot be weak. He is successful; you cannot be a failure. He is rich; you cannot be poor. Your current situation is not your permanent situation (1 John 3:2). Wake up to be conscious of this truth. You cannot but be like your father at last. Say it to yourself again and again, “I am a child of God.”

Prayer: Lord, help me to start to enjoy the blessing of my sonship in you.
“THE CONSCIOUSNESS OF THE SON OF WHOM YOU ARE MAKES YOU ENJOY THE BLESSINGS OF THE FAMILY”
