LOOKING UNTO HIM

 LOOKING UNTO HIM

Psalms 34:1-7
Devotional:- “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed” (V. 5) NKJV

To enjoy the love of God for us, we must learn to keep looking unto Him. The scripture says, they looked unto him and were not ashamed. No one trusts in Him who will be ashamed at the end. It is amazing that Joseph, whom they sold as a slave, eventually became a ruler. Because that is God’s plan for Him (Genesis 45:1-9). Amazingly, Abraham, who had no children for almost a hundred years, at last became the father of eight children before he died (Genesis 25:1-2, 9). These are proofs of God’s faithfulness.

Because He also has a plan for each of us, He does not want us to be discouraged or frustrated, but rather to keep looking unto Him. This is because He has a plan for us, and it shall surely come to pass. That is why He said, "I know the plans that I have for you; they are not of evil, but good, to give you a hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). He also said, “Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith who for the joy that was set before Him endure the cross, despise the shame and had sat down at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2).

Friend, it is not over. Keep looking unto Jesus with all faith and hope as Abraham and Joseph did. Don’t turn to an evil and destructive way so as not to miss your portion at last. Put away those frustrations and discouragement. Bother not at the mockery and shame. They will not aid your faith for success. As you keep looking unto Him, you will find your throne of glory at last.

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my hope in you.
“IF JESUS WAS NOT PUT TO SHAME, YOU CANNOT BE PUT TO SHAME”
