Sometimes our challenges make us lose focus on God. We need to realise that this is the trick of the devil. He only wants to smartly disconnect us from our source. And a river that is disconnected from its source will soon dry up.   Abraham was looking for his own way to make things happen in his life and started losing focus on God by getting another wife to fulfil the promise of God. ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

 ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

Proverbs 3:1-8
Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV.

To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives.

If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are guaranteed His protection when you decide to move within His will. He is our faithful guide to profit (Isaiah 48:17). Don’t you ever think God will take to your will when you have neglected His way? If you learn to respond to heavenly signals, it will make you wonder about the earth. Outside His will is shame and regret.

Friend. Don’t rush into a decision over your marriage, home, business, or that step (Hebrews 6:12). It is better to wait than to waste. It is just a little more endurance, then, your glory. When we allow God to guide us, we are sure of His peace and protection. Just ask Him to put His will in your mind. He will respond with a gentle thought. And then you are sure of a sweat-free tomorrow. Don't go on anyhow; it can lead to destruction and shame. No matter how far you’ve gone on the wrong route, it's time to turn right and turn back, and you shall know your turnaround for glory from now on.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always wait on your instructions.
