SERVE HIM

 SERVE HIM

John 12:20-30
Devotional:- “If anyone serves Me, let him follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also. If anyone serves Me, him My Father will honor” (V. 26) NKJV

One of the demands of love is a sense of responsibility towards one another. A very sincere definition of love is responsibility. True love is known in willingness to serve each other. Your level of love for a man is determined by the level of commitment you have to his life and destiny. You cannot prove that you love someone without showing a strong level of responsibility to such. This means true love is embedded in serving one another.

One of the strong teachings of Jesus to us, as His lover, is that we must be ready to lay down our lives in service to bless others, as He did for us. That is why He said, “He who loves his life shall lose it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it for eternal life” (John 12:25). Unless we are willing to sow and be sown in service, we may not produce our best because God send us to this world to be a solution (John 12:24). We can only be a solution by serving and blessing each other.

That is why you and I must be aiming to be a blessing to everyone around us. And this is love. This is in the form of serving others with our gifts and talents—wherever we may be now, school, office, church, or home. Whatever ability, gift, or potential is at your disposal, use it to bless or help someone? Don’t be there, when many things aren't working, and you could do something, but you keep quiet. Do not reserve your ability in service (John 12:25). Let your service attitude be with a motive of doing it unto the Lord (Ephesians 6:7-8). Then the Lord shall adequately reward you. And you shall be blessed.

Prayer: Lord, make me faithful in service.
