 CREATED TO RULE


Genesis 1:26-31
Devotional:- “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”” (V. 28) NIV

The major purpose of creating man was to rule over the earth. This is because the purpose of a product is in the assignment given to it to carry out. The reason why God wanted us to rule the earth was to make us represent Him here, to disallow the enemy from ruling the earth. So our rulership was a delegation.

It is very clear in the scripture, God’s manual of man, that we are created to rule. That is, to take over, take control and have dominion over the earth. A producer is only successful when the product serves the purpose of production. When authority is delegated to a man, it often comes with a measure of power and liberty to operate it. This entails that man should not be hindered by anything to achieve God’s given goal. Every rulership is also supposed to be with comfort, that is, without corruption. Man is supposed to lack nothing with what God has, in the absence of suffering and created him to have over other creatures. He has been given all he needs to succeed. This simply means you are not created to lack but have all things in abundance.

But the enemy came, deceived man and took away his authority. Since then, man has been under the authority of those who should be under him. This has brought frustration and failure to the lives of many. The good news is that God in His mercy has sent Jesus Christ to restore man’s authority (Luke 10:19). Friend, all you need to do is be willing to walk in faith and obedience to the truth in that house, office and school, your dominion shall be handed over to you from now on. Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and to give you liberty. What they said you will not do, you will find yourself doing it. And you will rule without a hindrance. 

Prayer: Lord, restore my strength to rule.
“WHEN HEAVEN ORDAINS A MAN TO RULE, HE WILL RULE AT LAST”

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
