THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. YOUR STRONGHOLD

YOUR STRONGHOLD

Zechariah 9:11-17
Devotional:- “Turn you to the strong hold, ye prisoners of hope: even today do I declare that I will render double unto thee” (V. 12) KJV

One of the great comforts we have in God is that we have hope in Him. We know that God is on our side. Things will work out well for us. God’s word says all things will work together for our good (Romans 8:28). But when hope looks delayed, weariness often sets in the heart of men and weakens their faith.

If you are one of those who have been waiting and you are getting weary over an expectation, God’s word has an instruction for you today. “Turn to your stronghold”. Everyone who are prisoners of hope should turn to their stronghold. These are people who are held down in their hope in God.

Stronghold is your powerhouse and power source. To turn to your stronghold is to return to your strength in God. The word of God said there is a double reward for your pain (Isaiah 61:7). It is therefore time to be back into searching God’s promises concerning your case. Take a new faith in God’s word. Step out afresh by His instructions despite your experiences. Turning to your stronghold is turning to God for instruction to your solution. He will guide you to your awaiting miracles. Humble yourself to obey the instructions of the Lord to you (Isaiah 1:19). If God is truly your stronghold, now you are returning with a testimony in Jesus' name. Peace!

Prayer: Lord, help me to turn back to you for my instructions.

“WHEN YOU TURN BACK TO GOD, THEN IT WILL BE YOUR TURN TO CELEBRATE”
