THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. FAITH IN HIS PROMISES

FAITH IN HIS PROMISES

Hebrew 10:19-25

Devotional:- “Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised)” (V. 23) KJV

If faith has no substance, it will be a weak faith. The substance of faith is the potentiality of its evidence. It is the certainty of the conviction of that faith. It is the very thing that produces confidence in the faith. But all of these have their foundation in the word of His promises. It is the promises of God that produce the substance of your faith. It is in the Word of God that you can substantiate your faith.

The authenticity of a promise depends on who is making it. If the capacity or the strength of the one who promised is not there, you cannot wait so surely on such a promise. And to know how reliable the promise of a man is, what you need to do is to dig into history of that man.

If you look through the word of God, you will see God’s faithfulness demonstrated towards His promises. He promised Abraham a child, and at one hundred years, God perform His promises (Genesis 21:1-2). He promised Abraham to make him a nation and God perform it. If Sarah can breast feed at ninety, Joseph can become a prime minister in a strange land and if He can uphold you till now, then He will perform His promises in your life. Wait on Him.

Prayer: Lord, make your word a reality in my life.

“IF HE HAS BEEN FAITHFUL, HE WILL STILL BE FAITHFUL”
