THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. JOY

JOY

Isaiah 12:1-6
Devvotional:- “Therefore with joy you will draw water From the wells of salvation” (V. 3) NKJV

You must know that one of the virtues for our strength in life is joy (Nehemiah 8:10). Please choose to live in joy for the rest of your life. This is because you are created for joyful living. If you don’t consciously make this choice, you have also made a wrong choice (Habakkuk 3:17-19).

The nature of human is fashioned to only have the best in joy. The enemy, having known this, always wants people to be in sorrow. The only sets of people that will enjoy great strength to the end are the joyful ones.

Our scripture today says with joy you will fetch out of the well of salvation. God is the source of true strength. He is the well of our salvation. He is the well of our strength (Isaiah 40:29). The drawing vessel from this well is joy. God dwells in a joyful atmosphere (Psalm 16:11). Sorrow cannot enter His presence. It will take you being joyful to enter His presence and be able to draw on His strength daily (Psalms 100:4).

Having made your choice of joy, be careful to keep fellowshipping with joyful people (Proverbs 13:20). Love to hear good-news and testimonies of joy. Stand against the celebration of sorrows in your fellowship, and you will be able to keep the strength of God flowing in you.

PRAYER: Lord, baptise me into the Spirit of joy.

“JOY IS THE DRAWER OF STRENGTH IN GOD.”
