THE PAST

THE PAST Isaiah 43:8-21 Devotional:- “Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old.” (v.18) NKJV God, who gives us a memory, want us to use our past experiences to help us make quality decisions in the future, but the past is always the enemy of the future for many. If you don’t know how to manage your memory system of the past, it is capable of standing against your success in the future. As emotional beings, we are sometimes faced with the challenges of memories of our past experiences, our errors and failures. You will observe that at every point of decision-making to progress, the enemy will bring back to your memory the past experiences of your failure. This is just to bring fear to your heart and make you doubt the possibility of your success, so you could lose your joy. The scripture we read today instructs us to let go of the past. FAITH IN HIS POWER

FAITH IN HIS POWER

Exodus 14:20-31
Devotional:- “And Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and when the morning appeared, the sea returned to its full depth, while the Egyptians were fleeing into it. So the LORD overthrew the Egyptians in the midst of the sea” (V. 27) NKJV

Even though the power of the devil is fake, he always tries to use the fake to convince and confuse the children of God who have the original. He does this by creating an attractive package for the fake power. This is the attraction of being quick and looking real. Yet at the end, it brings its victim into disgrace and failure.

A man’s power could be known as his inborn ability. What his capacity could carry out. So, for us to size the power of God, we need to go back to searching what He has been able to do in the past. This then shows us what He can do today because He does not change (Hebrews 13:8).

What we read in our scripture today is one of the great demonstrations of His power. He gave water from the rock. He fed the Israelites for forty years without going bankrupt. He fought for them and defeated their enemies. He gave them the land of Canaan as He had promised. Jesus healed the sick, set free the captives and opened the eyes of the blind. Please stop doubting His ability to heal and deliver you, and you will see His power at work in your life

Prayer: Lord, show forth your power in my life.
