COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

VIPER AT MELITA

Acts 28:1-7
Devotional:- “However, they were expecting that he would swell up or suddenly fall down dead. But after they had looked for a long time and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds and said that he was a god” (V.6) NKJV

The world is not yet converted to the Lord because they have not encountered the power of God in their lives. Most Christians are unbelieving Christians and this is because they do not know the truth. Jesus said, except they see signs and wonders they will not believe (John 4:48). Till now, many Christians still enjoy playing safe in life. They are not ready to become a vessel of God’s wonder.

Paul having passed through a challenging time, while he was trying to warm himself, a viper or serpent held on to his hand. A cobra bit him. He just shook the viper into the fire and continued his life. In his mind, he can't be harmed (Mark 16:17-18). The people expected him to die but when he did not, they changed their minds and said he was a god.

Friend, your fear has not allowed you to be a miracle. And it has chased many from believing your God. Do you know God lives in you (1 Corinthians 3:16)? Do you know that Jesus has given you all authority (Luke 10:19)? Don’t let sickness destroy your destiny. Some people even rejoice in their sickness and celebrate it. They talk about it like a good thing. You cannot afford to be a victim. You are a victor. Seek to know the truth. Pick books written by men of faith on the subject of your concern. Then, your faith will rise and your affliction will be over. Arise and win.

Declaration: I cannot afford to fail, I WILL ARISE.

YOU ARE WHAT YOU SEE IN YOUR MIND ABOUT YOURSELF”
