ASK

ASK Matthew 7:7-12  Devotional:- “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!” (V.11) NKJV For us to be able to enjoy the love of God as believers, we must begin to ask God for our needs. It is the principle of God that you will only have what you ask (Matthew 7:7). If you don’t speak out to ask, you may not be given. This was the problem of the senior brother of the prodigal son (Luke 15:29-32). Everything is for Him, but he had never asked for any. But the younger brother knew how to ask You must also learn how to ask. This is because you will only enjoy what you asked for. We therefore need to learn how to ask. The word ‘ask’ is not the same as beg or loan. The word asks suggests confidence and courage. It means to demand for what you are due for. It means to ask for your rights and your entitlements in God (Galatians 3:13-14). The bible is a book of covenant ...

MANTLE

MANTLE

2 Kings 2:9-15
Devotional:- “Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, "Where is the LORD God of Elijah?" And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over” (V.14) NKJV

It is necessary to note that the mysteries of God look so ordinary to people of no understanding. Some of the things that have kept us from the power of God are religion, tradition, and human philosophy. For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:8). One of such neglected vessels of power is the mantle. These are materials that have contacted the anointing of God having contacted the anointed. The anointing flows when a Spirit-filled believer allows the Holy Spirit to flow through them.

You need to know that God’s anointing can be likened to perfume, oil, or electricity current. That is why whatever the anointed man touches can carry a portion of the anointing. Understand that the anointing is transferable by relationship (Proverbs 13:20). The handkerchief of Elijah that dropped became the vessel of miracles. Also, the woman with the issue of blood touched the cloth of Jesus and was healed (Matthew 9:20-22). Paul’s handkerchief was also sent to heal people (Act 19:11-12).

Do not despise these mysteries. Locate the anointed men of God and tap into this grace in their lives. These are men who carry the presence of God always with evidence of signs and wonders. Anytime you need healing or a miracle, stand or sit where your pastor stands or sits by faith. And you shall be delivered. Whatever the mantle touches come back to life (2 Kings 13:20-21). When this is done by faith you are too sure of your miracle.

Prayer: Lord, grant me a simple heart to live by faith
