JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

WAR DANCE

WAR DANCE

II Chronicles 20:13-25
Devotional:- “Now when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushes against the people of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, who had come against Judah; and they were defeated” (V. 22) NKJV

The attitude we turn to our situation or challenges in life determines whether we truly believe in God or not. That is why you need to grow your faith in God to be able to face any situation in life and overcome it.

Three nations allied together and faced Judah the people of God in battle. The people of Judah and the king became so afraid. But the Spirit of God came upon the prophet and spoke that they would not need to fight in the battle. In other words, God had taken over their battle. Friend, God has taken over yours too. Having heard this, they believed God was going to fight for them. They then organize themselves to praise God. And they had their great victory.

Friend, you also need to stop being afraid. Always remind yourself that Jesus had defeated the devil and his host on the cross (Colossians 2:15). It is time to dance. Why? The Almighty God is in you and He will surely fight for you. The enemy had been destroyed. This is your year of victory. Stop that sorrow. It will not solve the problem, but your praise will bring God (Psalms 22:3). Your enemy will give up. God’s blessings are coming to you this year. It will come from far and near. God shall turn your life around totally.

It is your turn!

Declaration: It is my turn to celebrate.
