WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

LOOK AND LIVE

LOOK AND LIVE

Numbers 21:4-9
Devotional:- “Then the LORD said to Moses, "Make a fiery serpent, and set it on a pole; and it shall be that everyone who is bitten, when he looks at it, shall live” (V.8) NKJV

The lives of most men are faced with so many compounded problems and sorrow. What some go through is not explainable. This is because they give themselves to all kinds of bondages of the devil unknowingly. Many have compounded the situation by entering into a terrible covenant with darkness or by their addiction to unrighteousness. I have good news for you – there is a way out.

As we read in the scriptures today, the children of Israel got into trouble by offending God and God sent wicked serpents to torment them. But because God is merciful, He will always make a way out of all tests and trials (1 Corinthians 10:13). He asked Moses to lift a bronze serpent. And whoever looks at it will be healed and live.

This is a symbol of Christ being hanged on the cross and whoever looks shall be saved from any plaque of the enemy (John 3:14-15). Friend, this grace is still available to everyone. Whatever may be biting you today, you can still look unto Jesus (Hebrews 12:2). Stop looking at the size of your situation. Just look unto Him. Call upon Him from your heart. He will answer you and you will not be ashamed (Psalms 34:5). It is His will to heal and help you. No one is created to fail. Rise now to call on Him and your story shall surely change.

Prayer: Lord, rescue me today.
