A FRIEND

A FRIEND John 15:9-17  Devotional:- “...but l have called you friends…” (V. 15) In this generation, it is not a common thing to find true friends. This is someone who goes all out to see to your well-being. Someone who wants to identify with you in all situations. Someone who is not feeling fine until he sees you, someone who daily remembers to pray and intercede for you. It can be a terrible thing sometimes when you desire to share your mind with someone, and no one is willing to listen to you, or someone who could offer a little help. Sometimes we could be in need of a little encouragement, but no one to really do it. The people who are supposed to encourage us are the ones who misunderstand us and condemn us. We need to come to the understanding that God is our friend. He is not just your Lord and God. He always wants to listen to you. He is not happy when you are not (Hebrews 4:15). ESTHER’S FAITH

ESTHER’S FAITH

Esther 4:10-17
Devotional:- "Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” (V. 16) NKJV

Until man is ready, God may not also be ready. This is because God is ever ready. If you say you are ready today God is also ready. If you say it is tomorrow, it is okay with God.

The children of God were faced with the challenge of the enemy who wanted to destroy the children of Israel. But God has prepared Esther in the palace to stand in for them. Despite all of these, Esther had a challenge. It was the time she must not see the king. There was always a specific period when she could see him. And disobedience to this could lead to her death. She then called all God’s people to fast and pray for her; by faith, she was ready to go and see the king. And God granted her favour.

See, he who is ready to save his life shall lose it (Mark 8:35). It is time to give it all it takes to have your victory. You must not die in this poor state. Be ready to pay the price of rising. Arise, as the prodigal son did, and God will grant you favor (Luke 15:18).
