ENDURANCE
Genesis 25:27-34
Devotional:- "Look,
I'm dying of starvation!" said Esau. "What good is my birthright to
me now?” (V.32)
NLT
Faith
will not yet be possible without endurance. The faith of some people do not
produce because they only want it too quickly, and are not willing to wait (Job
14:14). Exploit of faith will not be possible if you will not endure in your
current situation. If Jesus had considered the pain of the cross, He would have
jumped down and will not enjoy the glory (Hebrews 12:2-3). Our endurance is not
to remain in pain forever but to believe that our faith in God will not
disappoint us.
Esau
was just a man who could not endure. And he lost his destiny in exchange for
temporary comfort. He had only missed his lunch, which was not enough to kill
him. He was simply weak at enduring. Faith demands that we wait to see God’s
salvation. It is not that God cannot do it immediately, but He needs to test
our ability to retain our miracle (Deuteronomy 8:16). Endurance makes you value
your miracle and keep it.
Friend,
this moving from church to church is a product of doubt (James 1:6-8). It will
not bring less than frustration. Abraham the father of faith waited for years
but received his miracles at last (Hebrews 6:12). No matter what you may be
going through do not turn to other gods (Matthew 10:22). When you can pass the
test of endurance you will turn out like gold (James 1:2, 12). Endurance is
continuing faith in God till your change
Prayer: Lord, sustain me to the end.
“IT IS HE THAT CAN ENDURE
TODAY THAT WILL ENJOY TOMORROW”
