COMPARISM

COMPARISM 2 Corinthians 10:7-18 Devotional:- “Oh, don't worry; we wouldn't dare say that we are as wonderful as these other men who tell you how important they are! But they are only comparing themselves with each other, using themselves as the standard of measurement. How ignorant!” (v.12) NLT. Man, by his complexity, sometimes creates complications for himself in life. One of the things we often do incorrectly is to measure our lives by comparing them to other people’s lives. We often forget that we are sent for a different purpose, so our goals and objectives cannot be the same. There is nothing wrong with trying to gauge your level of performance against others in the same field. But it will be completely wrong for you to determine whether you are a failure or a success by the life of another man. Paul, the apostle of Christ, knows that his own purpose and program are from the Lord and are different from what others have been given. For example, if some apostles were marr...

Titus 1:10-15
Devotional:- "To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are defiled” (V.15) NKJV

The word of God told us the measure of great things God can do (Ephesians 3:20). He can do great and mighty things to anyone and everyone but there is a clause in this scripture. It talks about a power at work in us, which determines the extent to which God can work in individuals. Know that your needs are small to Him (2 Chronicles 14:11). You are the one that limits the extent of His manifestation in your life.

There are two sides to life: wrong and right; good and bad, rich and poor, evil and good. Where you are is your choice. In Luke 16:26, Abraham tells the rich man that heaven, and hell are separated by a big fixed gulf, so he cannot cross over. So also, light and darkness cannot co-exist. What you therefore find happening to you in life is a matter of what you allow in your thinking and imagination (Psalm 23:7).

Friend, it is what you allow in your mind that fills your life. You can’t mix it: Someone believes he can be sick once in a while another believes he cannot be sick at all. These things are fixed. Some believes in lack and others in prosperity. It is what you keep imagining that you will keep having. Some always imagine evil and the power of the devil. Their daily songs and prayers are all about the enemy. See, this is a choice of ignorance (Hosea 4:6). To stop being afraid of cockroaches, lizards, etc., you need to believe in the word of God for your victory. This is by meditating on the word daily. Don’t be part of those who keep praying and being tormented. Always see God all around you. See all that God has given you as pure and good. I speak freedom into your life in Jesus name.

Prayer: Lord, deliver me from self-bondage.

“THE STRONGEST BONDAGE IS THE ONE YOU PUT ON YOURSELF”.
