DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES

DISTANCING FROM THE SCRIPTURES Deuteronomy 8:1-11 Devotional:- “To teach you that man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the LORD” (v.3) NIV      The word of God is the bank of our strength in God. The word of God is the strength of God (John 1:1-3; Hebrews 4:12). Through the word, God had done all He had done. God’s word says, without Him, nothing else was created (John 1:3). When a man, therefore, distances himself from the Word of God, such is distancing himself from his source, He will lack the strength of God.

JACOB’S BLESSING

JACOB’S BLESSING

Genesis 49:1-12
Devotional:- “And Jacob called his sons and said, "Gather together, that I may tell you what shall befall you in the last days” (V.1) NKJV

So many people have had to repeat the same trouble their parents experienced. It has been so all over their generations. The Father was a poor man through his lifetime and the son has taken after him. Life after life kept on experiencing the same thing all through the decades.

This is because such parents do not effect change that will affect their coming generations. God has given these virtues to all faithful parents and can be enjoyed by all faithful children. The patriarchs knew this and they always exploited this faith. Jacob woke up one day and asked his children to gather with him and by faith began to speak to their lives. And it was so for them.

Friend, never curse your children, but know that you have the authority to make them good by what you say or call them. Always speak better things into their life by faith. And they will be a blessing to you. Some parents just procrastinate on this. Start yours from now and make it a regular or daily event. And while you are alive, they will become great.

Prayer: Lord, make me a producer of better generations.

“IF YOU KEEP SAYING IT YOU WILL START SEEING IT”
