WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

TAKING RESPONSIBILITY

Scripture Reading: Luke 15:11-24
Devotional:- "And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him” (V. 20) NKJV

One of the habits that makes a man a success is taking responsibility. It is not everything you delegate out. Quite a number of things no one can do for you. It is your responsibility. A man becomes a success when he takes responsibilities over the affairs of his life and businesses.

The prodigal son put his life in his hand and returned to face his father he had called foolish one time and apologized. The habit of responsibility makes us to humble ourselves. It makes a man to be willing take steps to progress. It makes a man to see possibility in his goals. It makes us to pay the prize of success. It makes us to identify our weaknesses and strengths. It makes us an effective participator in our process of achievement. It makes us to see and learn the process. These are what makes us become a master over achievements.

For you to build the habit of responsibility, you need to see yourself as a major key player in achievements of success. Whatever you need, you will have to labour to produce. Stop blaming anyone. You will always need people to assist you in doing one thing or the other, but you are the one to first be possessed with your vision before you can share the spirit of the vision with others. Success takes initiatives, while failure blame others. Responsibility gives us a sense of true freedom to succeed. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the courage to always arise.
