SELF ESTEEM

SELF ESTEEM

Scripture: Psalms 139:12-18
Devotional:- "I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well” (v. 14) NKJV

To be a success, one of the factors we must labour to attain is to build self-value which produces self-esteem. Self-value is seen the good and the grace in ourselves. It is realizing that no matter how bad we are, there are so many good things about us. The reason why many struggle before they can have self-esteem is because they place their value of life on money or material things. So, when they don't have as such, they feel like a failure, some even feel inferior to others because they compare themselves with others (Numbers 13:33). Some have unrealistic expectations about their lives which makes them crash into low self-esteem, instead of realizing their capacity.

To build quality self-esteem, we have to redefine our life values. Stop looking and valuing yourself based on material thing. You are of more value than that (Matthew 10:21). Stop taking to heart the human comment but the word of God who is your creator. Only God have the final say over your life (Jeremiah 29:11)

As a child of God, the spirit of God is in you. All you need to develop self-esteem or self-value is to study, accept and celebrate what God is saying about you. Keep celebrating what God has given to you but not what He has not. And you will succeed. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to see your goodness in my life always.
