HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

PERSISTENCE

PERSISTENCE

Scripture: Luke 18:1-7
Devotional:- “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” (v. 1) NKJV

In the school of success, temporary people may not be able to go too far. Desperate people are often met with severe frustration. Those who have learn the act of success must have learn the act of persistency. This is very vital because nothing good are easily found on the surfaces. They always demand continue digging.

To persist is to stay on a course of conviction till one get the expected result. Those who stand out in any field of life often have to persist. The woman in our scripture refused to allow time and date to discourage her. She knew what she wanted to get and she gave her best to it till she got the judgment.

Building up the habit of persistency demands clarity of purpose of life and willingness to commit all to it. To be persistent therefore demand that we define a worthy course, become convict of it, before it will deliver our expectation. Most noble course in life demand long time of preparation. So, temporary people cannot go that far. Great feet demand a deep foundation e.g., to be a medical doctor, a governor or president of a nation. These are not what you attain overnight but with persistent preparation. Get ready for greatness. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, strengthen me to endure to the end.
