  HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. Scripture: 1King 19:19-21
Devotional:-  “So Elisha turned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen and slaughtered them and boiled their flesh, using the oxen's equipment, and gave it to the people, and they ate. Then he arose and followed Elijah, and became his servant” (V. 21) NKJV

    In the school of success, getting a coach or a mentor is vital. We can easily study principles but application is not as easy. This is because in the course of application we are met with challenges that the book of principal does not foresee. Or our personal approach could hinder effective result in application of knowledge. Yes, on the long run, we could get it right with time but what should have cost us six months to get could us even ten years. This is the advantage of a mentor.

Elisha submitted himself under the tutelage of Elijah. This made him turn out to be greater than his master. This is the beauty of mentoring.

I like to encourage you also to identify a mentor. This is someone you feel he or she is doing more exploits. It demands that you submit yourself to learn. Be open enough to interact. Have a goal of what to learn and grow. Be humble to follow the counsel of your mentor. Please know that you are the one to pursue your mentor. Respect his appointment for you, it is a sacrifice. Express gratitude through gift. You will receive the mantle of greatness. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, connect me to your servant for my greatness.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
