HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT

HOW REAL SERVANTS ACT Mark 10:35-45 Devotional:- “Yet it shall not be so among you; but whoever desires to become great among you shall be your servant” (V. 43).   The world defines greatness in terms of power, possessions, prestige and position but God determined your greatness by how many people you serve. This is quite contrary to the world view. Jesus called Himself servant and to be like Him is to be a servant. That is why it is so important to have a servant’s heart. God often test our heart by asking us to serve even outside our shape or area of interest. Your priority area of service should be in your area of shape, but God could demand for your service wherever needed. Looking at how a servant act is important because one could serve in a church for years and not be a real servant. Real servants make themselves available to serve. If you only serve when it is convenient, then you are not a good servant (2 Timothy 2:4). Real servants pay attention to needs, always lo...

POSITIVE WORD

POSITIVE WORD

Scripture Reading: Numbers 14:1-10
Devotional:- “If the LORD delights in us, then He will bring us into this land and give it to us, 'a land which flows with milk and honey” (V. 8) NKJV

Our words are commands to the forces of the spirit of God that are assigned by God to be around us. (Psalms 91:11-12; Hebrews 1:14; Exodus 23:23). Their responsibility is to help us in the invisible part of our assignment. All they need to receive is a word of God from us. They are assigned to serve us (Psalm 103:20). When we speak the word of God, they take action to perform it.

The challenge is when we speak the negative, we confuse them (Ecclesiastics 5:6). Someone who wants to succeed should have the heart of speaking the positive (Joshua 1:8). To overcome the challenge of negative words, we have to understand that our words come from our heart (Matthew 12:34). So, to cultivate the habit of positive words, we have to cultivate positive heart by studying the word of God.

Positive heart and words are therefore cultivated by taking word the word of God repeatedly (Colossians 3:16). Positive words are majorly in the word of God (John 17:17). The heart of most people has already record multiple negative words, so, there is a strong need to renew our mind in the word of God (Romans 12:2). This is by accepting the word and the plan of God for us over and above our experiences or situations. Things happen from our heart, so we must impose the word of God over the negative. This is how to allow God of all possibility in our situations. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the ability to keep speaking positive word.
