WAITING ON THE LORD

WAITING ON THE LORD 2 Samuel 5:1-10 Devotional:- “David was thirty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned forty years” (v.4) NKJV One of the good virtues of God we must always appreciate is His faithfulness. God is not a man that will lie; whatever He has said in His word, He is able to do and He shall do. You can always plug yourself into His promises as much as you work in His covenants. I always tell people never to think God’s word is written only to some specific persons we hear or read about in the Bible. The word of God is the standard practice and programme of God. They were only privileged to be the ones to receive the word at their time, but God is still the same, and so is His word. In claiming the word of God, you must learn to be able to patiently wait. People who will retain their joy must add this virtue to their life (Hebrews 6:12). Our scripture today told us of the installation of David as king, but that was a promise he received from God when he was about 1...

WHO IS A SUCCESS

WHO IS A SUCCESS?

Devotional:- The labor of fools wearies them, For they do not even know how to go to the city! (v. 15) NKJV

A success is a life developed to be able to succeed. A success is someone who have learnt the skill of success and has master them over time. Because people do not understand what success is, they don't know how to succeed (Ecclesiastics.10:15). A success is a person who has learnt how to achieve a thing in life.

Please, understand that a man who is not a success cannot succeed. A Success has learnt the act of success. The act of success is a pattern or steps or approach to attain success in life. Until a man understands his own pattern of success, he cannot reproduce his success. A man of success will always succeed, this is because he has developed the skill or the ability (Psalms 18:29).

A success is a person because it is an inbuilt ability that cannot be separated from him/her. Wherever you put Mr. Success, he will reproduce what he is able to do. Everything you have, either success or failure, came from your ability. The engine that produces what you have is inside you. A bad dress maker can successfully make a good dress but not all the time, reason being that he can stumble at it. This is the struggle of life (Ecclesiastics 10:15). Struggle is trying to achieve what you are not. A good dress maker can always make another one. Making the dress is an achievement, but he is made already before he can make a dress.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to build up the ability of success.
