  MEDIATING Hebrews 8:1-13 Devotional:- “But now He has obtained a more excellent ministry, inasmuch as He is also Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises” (V. 6) NKJV In the Old Testament, the human priest used to stand in the gap between God and man. But because they are also human and can also sin, their priesthood was not able to actually deliver the human race. This is the ministry Jesus is carrying out on behalf of the believers since His ascension to heaven.  This ministry was taken over by Jesus because He loves us. Though He is seated on the throne but sitting closely to the Father to advocate for us. A mediator is someone who stands in the gap between the benefactor and the beneficiary. He is the one who pleads our cause to God. He is the one who intercedes for us before the Father. That is why we can be certain of our faith in God through Christ Jesus. GOD’S WAY  

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 55: 3-13
Devotional:- "For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways," says the Lord” (V. 8)

    The major task ahead of all children of God is to know the way of God. Only those who know His ways can really enjoy walking with Him. That is why this becomes become the prayer of Apostle Paul (Philippians 3:10). Knowing Him makes us walk with Him without any disappointment.

I am glad to let you know that the covenants of God are His ways of life (Psalms 25: 9-14). You need to know that the way of God is different from the way of man (Isaiah 55:8-9). Those who know the way of God will enjoy His best. The way of God is the word of God and the word of His covenant. Jesus is the word of God, that is why He said “I am the way (John 1:14; John 14:6).

Friend, God do not expect you to remain a child of God but grow to become a son or daughter of God (Galatians 4:1-5). The word of God says He made known His ways to Moses but His act to the children of Israel (Psalms 103:7). This means, the children of Israel only see the miracles but Moses understand how God performed them through him. So, he can repeat them. To know His ways, humble yourself to study His covenant (Psalms 25:9-14). Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to be humble to learn your ways.

MASTER’S MINAS Luke 19:11-27 Devotional:- “So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, 'Do business till I come” (V. 13) NKJV      The word of God instructs us to do business. The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

COURAGE Joshua 1:1-9 Devotional:- “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go” (V. 9) NKJV      A major reason why many people are weak is because their level of courage is so low, that it cannot sustain them through to success. So they easily give up when faced with challenges. There is need for us to understand that there is no action that will not attract a reaction. So the only answer is courage.
