HOW SERVANTS THINK

HOW SERVANTS THINK Numbers 14:11-25 Devotional:- “But My servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit in him and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land where he went, and his descendants shall inherit it” (V. 24).   To be a servant requires complete mental shift and change in attitude. Before God, attitude count more than achievement (2 Chronicles 25:2). So, when we look at how real servants think, they think more about others than themselves. Humility is not thinking less of ourselves but thinking of ourselves less (Philippians 2:4). Jesus takes the form of a servant (Philippians 2:7). We can measure our servant’s heart by how we respond when others treat us as servants. Real servants think like a steward and not owner. They keep in mind that God owns it all.  To become a real servant you’ve got to settle the issue of money in your life (Luke 16:13). Please understand that money has a great potential to replace God in our heart. When Jesus is your master...

FAVOUR

FAVOUR

Scripture Reading: Psalms 5:1-12
Devotional:- “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield” (V. 12) NKJV

Everyone loves to be favored. And favour is a great virtue that makes life beautiful. To be favored is to be given preferences. It is to be given honour or to be considered where one is not qualified. It is an Act of kindness given to someone that does not deserve it.

When things turn terrible and expectations seems blocked, what a man need is favour. The word of God says “God will bless the righteous and the with favour He will surround them”. This means a man must be righteous to enjoy the favour of God.

Hence, to enjoy divine favour, we must obtain the righteousness of God. This demand that we claim the cleansing of our life by the blood of Jesus and remain in Christ (2Corinthians 5:17). Been in Christ makes us a new creature. Then, we become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2Corinthians 5:21). This righteousness is by faith in the work of the cross. But we must abide in Christ to retain it. This is when we can claim the favour of God to work in our ways. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, let your righteousness give me access to your favour.

“GOD’S RIGHTEOUSNESS IS A CLOTH YOU MUST SEE ON YOU TO OBTAIN FAVOUR”
