SHARING YOUR FEELING

SHARING YOUR FEELING Hebrews 4:11-16 Devotional:- “For we do not have an high priest who cannot sympathize with our weakness… (V. 15)” It is not always very easy for people to understand us, especially when we pass through challenges and are weak. Even those who want to understand and sympathise could get to a level and turn back. Sometimes, instead of people sympathising with us, they constitute a panel of judges and begin to point accusing fingers at us.  As part of the act of love of Jesus, the scripture we read today says, He sympathises with us in our situation. In other words, He knows exactly what you are going through, both the one you can explain and the one you cannot. He could feel exactly the way you feel. The Bible says, He has suffered as we do. Even if you are struggling with a weakness or a sin, He has also been in the flesh. He knows how painful your feelings are. He cannot reject you, and He identifies with you and still loves you. BASIS FOR JUDGEMENT

BASIS FOR JUDGEMENT

Scripture Reading: 2 Corinthians 5:1-11
Devotional:- “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad” (V. 10) NKJV

It is important that all children of God knows that there is a judgment day. All covenant defaulters shall be judged. That is why you and I cannot play away with the covenant of God. For us in the New Testament, the grace of God is at work in us, but not in disobedience (Romans 6:1-2). God want us to obey Him out of a heart of love (John 14:15). But the disobedience will be judged (Isaiah 1:19-20).

The covenant of God therefore becomes the basis for the judgment of God. If God will bless you, then you must be obedient (Isaiah 1:19). This judgment has begun from here and will continue to the judgment day. This is then the wisdom in the fear of God (Proverbs 1:7). Our walk in the covenant of God is therefore not for our benefit alone but to be an obedient child of God (Isaiah 1:19-20).

Friend, please understand that Christianity is a relationship with God. There is therefore a strong need to walk in the covenant of God, both for your benefit and for your freedom from the coming judgment of God (Genesis 17:1). You will not be condemned in Jesus name. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to keep walking in your covenant.
