JOY

JOY John 16:16-24  Devotional:- “Most assuredly, I say to you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; and you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.” (V. 20) NKJV God’s word says when sorrow endures till a night, joy comes in the morning (Psalms 30:5). This is an assurance and evidence that what is called sorrow is not a permanent situation in the life of a child of God. This is because it is certain that when a night comes, morning is always the next. The night is evidence of the coming morning. This is evidence that what you are going through right now will soon result in joy. In fact, the tougher it is, the closer the joy. May you see it. The scripture we read today gave us a new dimension of hope in our lives. Jesus said, our sorrow shall turn to joy. That which we think is a thing of sorrow shall suddenly become a thing of joy. Jesus likens it to a woman who is in labour. Women in this state often feel as if the end has come. But ...

YOUR CLAIM

YOUR CLAIM

Scripture Reading: Isaiah 1:16-20
Devotional:- "Come now, and let us reason together," Says the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool” (V. 18) NKJV

All God’s children have the right to the covenant provision of God (Galatians 3:13-14). The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ has purchased for us a right in God. God’s covenant is therefore for our claim as the prodigal son demanded for his portion.

The word of God asked us to bring forth strong reasons (Isaiah 41:21). The word of God said we should come and reason together with God (Isaiah 1:8). This is not as contending with our maker, but as claiming our right from our father. That is why; we must put in mind that we must identify our part and be obedience to the covenant before we start to claim in prayers.

The word of God says, you should clean up yourself. Then you can come to claim in prayers (Luke 15:12). This is walking in the covenant and not religion. The elder brother of the prodigal son claimed nothing and he was blamed (Luke 15:25-32). He is the owner of all but claimed nothing. That is how religious people will always be angry with covenant children. Be warned. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, deliver my portion to me

“HE THAT CLAIM NOTHING HAS NOTHING”
