ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

Genesis 24:60-67
Devotional:- "Then Isaac brought her into his mother Sarah’s tent; and he took Rebekah and she became his wife, and he loved her. So Isaac was comforted after his mother’s death". (V. 67)

A fundamental attitude of love is to welcome others. When I say welcoming, I mean accepting other and allowing others to share with us. Several times we will find ourselves among people that we do not anything in common with. One of the first principles of love is to welcome others.

It was a divine assignment for the servant of Abraham to locate a wife for Isaac. He trusted in God and he was successful to bring Rebecca to Isaac. Though meeting her for the first time, Isaac welcomed Rebecca. She was said to be beautiful but it does not mean she was an angel with a perfect body. Isaac threw away all the minuses and welcome Rebecca.

It's a sign of pride when we resent people. We have the right to chose whether to relate with the people or not. We have a right to determine the level we can allow people to go with us in relationship, yet, we are not to be irritated when meeting with people (Romans 5:8). Give people the benefit of doubt to prove their worth. Spouses, please accept yourself and not comparing your spouse to another (2 Corinthians 10:12). There is no greener grass at the other side of the fence. So, looking at other person as better than your spouse is a sign of weaknesses in you. Whatever you want in your spouse, God can help you to put them in place. Celebrate what God has given you and be happy. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, give me a true heart of love

“Every bad person needs a good person to make them good. Be the one”
