ACKNOWLEDGING HIM

ACKNOWLEDGING HIM Proverbs 3:1-8  Devotional:- “In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (v.6) KJV. To be able to enjoy God’s loving kindness, all of us must learn to always acknowledge God in all our decision-making. This simply means that we recognise Him as our owner and the one who is qualified to instruct us on where to turn. When we gave our lives to Christ, we all confessed Jesus as our Lord. This means we acknowledge Him as the one who has the final decision over our lives. But we often forget to carry Him along in making decisions that will, in the end, have a great adverse effect on our lives. If we are to enjoy the love and the goodness of the Lord, we must learn to acknowledge Him. And this is by patiently asking Him for His instructions for us. The truth is that He will always guide us. He said, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye” (Psalms 32:8). The truth is that you are gu...

FRIENDLINESS

FRIENDLINESS

John 15:9-17
Devotional:- "No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you". (V. 15).

One of the character of love is friendliness. Friendship is a relationship that brings two or three people of common interest together. Friendliness is creating an atmosphere for people to be friendly with us.Before God could made Abraham His friend He must have created a friendly atmosphere. We therefore need to learn from the scripture how to create friendly atmosphere.

For God to become friend of man He has to come down to the level of man (John 3:16). He came to the world. He sacrifice His life for humanity to rescue man (John 15:13). Jesus has to open up information of His father to man (John 15:15). Friendly atmosphere is doing what pleases friends (John 15:12, 14). In friendly atmosphere you call a friend a friend and attend to his needs as much as possible (John 15:16).

If God could come down to be the friend of man, we should also be humble to create the atmosphere for people will deem fit to be friendly with. Do not be afraid to announce a friend publicly. Don’t avoid him in times of need. Remember a friend in need is a friend indeed. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, make me a good manager of my friendship

"Friendship is the bank of future help.
