PURPOSE OF LOVE

PURPOSE OF LOVE Romans 5:6-11 Devotional:- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us..” (V. 8). NKJV Sometimes we make such a mistake as loving only our lovers. We do not often think that by this we fulfill the Law of Moses and not the law of grace, loving only those who love us and probably hating those who hate us. But this is not true love. If you understand the purpose of love, you will know that love is not needed when everyone is perfect, but most needed because we are not. The scripture we read today demonstrates one of the greatest acts of God’s love to us. And this is a revelation of God’s love to you. Even though you commit sin and He hates sin, yet He loves you. It is for your sake that He sent Jesus, His only son, to die on the cross. See, people may hate you for one reason or another, but God loves you. He so much believed in you that He had to give up His son to die for your sake (1 John 4:9-10). ...

ROOTED IN LOVE

ROOTED IN LOVE

Ephesians 3:14-21
Devotional:- "that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love". (V. 17)

The ultimate desire of God is that we are rooted in the love and that is when we are truly connected with God. The devil will do everything to discourage anyone attempting to be rooted in love. This is because, he knews that love will get God involved and love will win.

To be grounded and rooted in love means to be firmly connected to the love of God. It is to keep drawing from the riches of the love of God. It is to be totally filled inside out with the love of God. It is what you are filled with that will be manifesting in your life (Matthew 12:34-35)

God expresses His love towards us by giving us Jesus (1John 4:9-11). This is showing us an example of love. His love is revealed to us by His word. So, to be rooted in love is to learn continually from the word of God. It is to let it fill our lives that it becomes our governing principles for living (Colossians 3:16). This allows the love life of God to become our lifestyle. Remember whatever fill your heart will fill your life (Proverbs 23:7) By this, all men will know we are children of God. Peace

PRAYER: Lord, let your love flow to my life by my faith in your word.
