PURPOSE OF LOVE

PURPOSE OF LOVE Romans 5:6-11 Devotional:- “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us..” (V. 8). NKJV Sometimes we make such a mistake as loving only our lovers. We do not often think that by this we fulfill the Law of Moses and not the law of grace, loving only those who love us and probably hating those who hate us. But this is not true love. If you understand the purpose of love, you will know that love is not needed when everyone is perfect, but most needed because we are not. The scripture we read today demonstrates one of the greatest acts of God’s love to us. And this is a revelation of God’s love to you. Even though you commit sin and He hates sin, yet He loves you. It is for your sake that He sent Jesus, His only son, to die on the cross. See, people may hate you for one reason or another, but God loves you. He so much believed in you that He had to give up His son to die for your sake (1 John 4:9-10). ...

COMMUNICATION

COMMUNICATION

Colossians 4: 1-6
Devotional:- "Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one." (V. 6)

As God's kingdom citizen please understand that for any relationship to be strong there must be effective communication. A family that share together stays together and journey together. Communication is an act of sharing our mind together. It could be in form of counseling or guide. It could also be in form of sharing our mind in a lighter mood or commending one another. It could also be in encouraging or correcting each other.

In the scripture we read today the Bible gives instruction on how we should communicate with others. God's word says our words should always be gracious. This means words of that help to motivate and encourage others. That way we will be able to rightly communicate with others and we shall have good response.

Don't be abusive or commanding, there is a place of commanding but not always. Not even to an adult (1 Tim 4:12). Have a right motive towards others because your mouth cannot really divorce your heart (Matt 12:33-37). Be a good listener and not in a haste to respond (James 1:19, Proverbs 29:20). Let your word encourage, comfort and edify others (1 Cor 14:3). Then your relationship will always be sweet. Peace.

Prayer: Lord, help me to always have a good heart toward others.

"If you can speak well, you can live well"
