TAKE NO OFFENCE Luke 7:18-30 Devotional:- “And blessed is he who is not offended because of Me” (v.23) NKJV   🎙 Victory Daily Devotional TAKE NO OFFENCE Support Us Luke 7:18-30 Remi Agbabiaka Outreach Ministry (RAOM)  |  victorydaily.blogspot.com Sometimes, men easily get offended. That is, they get annoyed and refuse to relate to one another. Many of us have some people we don’t greet now on this account. Some people have taken offence at their parents and relations, and they refused to relate to them. The truth is that if you know the harm you are doing to yourself by so doing, you will give up on this.   In the scripture we read today, John the Baptist was not happy because Jesus did not come to rescue him from prison, and he took offence at Christ. He sent messengers to Jesus to ask if He was the Christ or not. This question see...

CARING

CARING

1 Peter 5:5-11
Devotional:-"casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you". (V. 7)

To love is to care. To care is not cheap. It is actually costly. Whatever it costs to to care is the prize of love. To care for someone is to be concerned about his/her life. Everyone have enough matter to concentrate on in their lives. But when you can go out of your way to care and show concern for others, that is love. It is when we can go out of our personal challenges and care for others that we are mature.

All through the ages we see how much God cares for us.  Right from the Garden of Eden to when He gave us Jesus (Genesis 3:21; 1 John 4:9). As sinful as man can be, yet, God has not abandoned us. Many times He will discipline the nation Israel for their wrong doings. And He will still go after them to comfort them (Isaiah 40:1).

This is truly a love lesson for us. We should care for people around us. This begins from our relationship to our spouses, children and parents. No one brings it from heaven. We all have to learn the act of caring for the body of Christ and for each other. Care starts from greetings, to concern about the affairs of others. Praying for each other and helping one another at our different levels. The self, the flesh or the human nature wants to care for himself alone. Let me satisfy my self first whatever may be happening to others is the language of carnality. We are truly mature when we are willing to care for others. You can never finish meeting your personal need. That is why the economist says human wants are unlimited. Don’t walk alone in life. You may not be able to go too far. Care for others as much as this does no harm to you. Always to remember to do this from a genuine heart and you will be like your fathering heaven. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me a caring heart.
