SELF ENCOURAGEMENT

SELF ENCOURAGEMENT Luke 15:11-24 Devotional:- “I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,” (v.18) NKJV So many people in the world today are groaning in sorrow under the pressure of challenges of life because they lack the wisdom of self-encouragement. The truth you have to accept is that there are not many people to encourage you in this world. More people and situations will discourage you. It is important that you know that joy is the fuel of your courage to achieve in life. So, you must learn to encourage yourself. If the prodigal son does not encourage himself, he will simply die in his sorrow. It is true he committed an error, yet he refused to be a victim of his error. He refused to die for his mistake. Do you know that failure is refusing to rise from falling? After all, we have seen babies who fall into gutters, yet their mother will pick them up, clean them, and they are still good babies. RESPECTING OTHERS

RESPECTING OTHERS

Ephesians 5:21-33
Devotional:- "Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."   (V.33)

In any type of relationship, respect is reciprocal. If you don't respect people, they will not also respect you (1 Samuel 2:30). Being rude is a sign of immaturity. When you talk to anyone in a rude or without manner, you will receive the same thing back. These can even happen between parents and children. The word of God instructs parents not to talk to their children with resentment or anger (Ephesians 6:4).

The word of God specifically instructs us to respect each other in our relationship (1 Peter 3:7; Ephesians 5:33). To respect means to regard, to honour, to prefer each other than someone else. It means to esteem each other and not to put others down. As a woman or a staff, you need to refer some decisions to your husband or leader respectfully.

The word of God also instructs husbands or leaders to also relate with people under them with honour (1 Peter 3:7). In the family, each one must be given his/her own respect. This is the character of love. Familiarity or status does not canceled respect for each other. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to respect all around me.

“When there is no respect, there will be no respect”
