LOOKING UNTO HIM

LOOKING UNTO HIM Psalms 34:1-7 Devotional:- “They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed” (V. 5) NKJV To enjoy the love of God for us, we must learn to keep looking unto Him. The scripture says, they looked unto him and were not ashamed. No one trusts in Him who will be ashamed at the end. It is amazing that Joseph, whom they sold as a slave, eventually became a ruler. Because that is God’s plan for Him (Genesis 45:1-9). Amazingly, Abraham, who had no children for almost a hundred years, at last became the father of eight children before he died (Genesis 25:1-2, 9). These are proofs of God’s faithfulness. Because He also has a plan for each of us, He does not want us to be discouraged or frustrated, but rather to keep looking unto Him. This is because He has a plan for us, and it shall surely come to pass. That is why He said, "I know the plans that I have for you; they are not of evil, but good, to give you a hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11). H...

AUTHORITY

AUTHORITY

Luke 10:13-24
Devotional Verse - “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (V. 19)

It is the level of fellowship a man has with God that will determine the measure of authority he will be able to exercise in life. Authority is not something that anyone can just handle. It is in the place of fellowship that God will be able to test us before He can trust us with authority. This is because it is more than one person. It involves the participation of the forces to enforce the authority. That is why the Bible says we should not say we are sorry before the angels (Ecclesiastics 5:6).

Before God could hand over the scepter of authority to Moses God had to bring him into fellowship first. Jesus only gives authority to His disciples and not the crowd. The truth is that authority is always delegated. So, before you can be trusted not to misuse it contrary to the expectation of the owner, you must have been in quality fellowship to earn that trust.

Friend, you need divine authority to gain dominion over the forces of this world. That is why you don’t see fellowship with God as unbelievers sees it. They don’t think of the power and the benefit. They think of money. At one time or the other, each one will face challenge. You need authority to keep overcoming. That is when you will not be humiliated or embarrassed by the wicked one. Receive grace. Peace.

PRAYER: Lord, give me the grace of fellowship for my authority.

“AUTHORITY IS ONLY FOR MATURE FELLOW IN THE SHIP.
