Most people have not gained understanding about what determines their strength or weakness in the face of challenges of lie. The truth is that victory or defeat is not determined by the battle but by your strength or weakness before the battle. These challenges could be, passing an examination, facing a panel of interviewers, defending a contract and it could also be facing the challenges in life. Then, it is important to know what determines your strength. 

You need to know that your mind is the battle ground of life. If your mind is strong, you will be strong enough to win and rule over your enemy. One of such weapons that weakens the mind of man is wrong information. That is why in the scripture we read today, Jesus said, “take heed to what you hear”. Wrong information will eventually break life. 

It is wrong information that often creates fear and brings sinful thoughts. It poisons your mind with discouragement or sorrow. All of these products of wrong information weakens your confidence and boldness to win in the face of challenges. If you are used to watching corrupt pictures on the internet without caution, when a temptation such as fornication comes, you may not be able to stand. If you listen to people that often speak failure, or that never think you can make it or prosper on earth, then the day opportunity brings your blessings you may likely miss it. Avoid people who discourage you. Always speak to yourself like Paul did, “I can do all things”. And you will see your confidence and boldness in place to win always. 

Prayer: Lord, help me to always guide against wrong information.

The Bible did not advise us to do business but it commanded us. That is why it would be wrong for you and me to be without a business. That makes idleness a crime against self (1 Thessalonians 4:11). Business is whatever you are doing to earn income. God will not accommodate idleness with anyone because He invested heavily in us.

  DOMINION   Psalms 8:1-9 Devotional:- “You have made him to have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his feet” (V. 6) NKJV      At creation, man was given dominion over all that God created. This office was at that time a terrifying one for other creatures and even the devil. (Psalms 8.6; Psalms 110:1-3). It was this office that the devil was after that he had to deceive man and steal. You will observe that man was the last creature of God (Genesis 1:26). Yet he was made to have dominion over all that existed before him. The devil saw this as partiality on the side of God. He did not know that though man was the last creation yet the finest. The man was finally created to be in charge of all creation.
