It is our lack of understanding of this teaching of Jesus Christ that has brought most of the frustrations to the lives of believers. Many of us also want to live like the people of the world around us. We have forgotten that the Spirit in us is not of the world. (John 17:14).   What is this mystery? It is a mystery of focusing and spending our lives on God’s purposes for our lives above all things to bring glory to God. The Bible says, ...

KING DAVID

From an early age, David had been facing the resistance of the enemy. He was a boy who liked to serve. Beginning from the service in the field with the sheep of his father to the service of King Saul. He made himself available to serve, such that the day prophet Samuel came to their house to anoint him as the king, he was in the field caring for the sheep. But right in his family, some of his brothers were jealous of him.

By God’s favour, he was brought to the palace to serve the king.

Through him, God gave victory to the Israelites, and Saul also sought to take his life. This was because King Saul sensed that he might likely be the next king. However, God fulfilled His promises in the life of David. Saul eventually fell into the hands of the Philistines and he was killed. David was enthroned as the next king of Israel either the devil likes it or not. See, no matter what your enemies may be doing, God will overtake them and surely enthrone you in that house, office or business. Your enemies will fail at last.

There is great wisdom we can learn from the life of David. He was humble. He humbly and faithfully served in the house, in the palace and became honorable among the king’s commanders. He refuses to avenge himself. He was not in haste to be on the throne. He allowed God to fight for him. And he was the most beloved King of Israel. Hold on to your God. He will fight for you. Humble yourself, and you will be exalted in due season (1 Peter 5:6). Your enemy will see you rising to where they said you would not be. And your life desire shall be granted.

Prayer: Lord, make me live to see your glory.

“THE ENEMY COULD HAVE THEIR PLAN, BUT GOD’S PURPOSE WILL BE ESTABLISHED”
