POWERFUL NAME

Be careful not to become too advanced in knowledge to neglect the power of God. The kingdom of God is for those who are poor in spirit (Matthew 5:3), that is, those who are simple enough to accept the simplicity of God without denying the power in it. Unless you take the kingdom as children, you may not be able to enjoy the best of it.

This is because many have become so used to the name of Jesus that it has lost its power to them. The scripture described the name as a strong tower (Proverbs 18:10). When you run into it, you shall be saved. Therefore, you can always run to this name in the midst of all challenges. The scripture calls it the higher name. That is, king of all names, the ruling name. The name above (Philippians 2:9-11). So when you call this name, all others bow to it. Whatever has a name bows to the name of Jesus.

Observe that there is nothing that does not have a name in this world, so it means all other names bow to the name because it’s the chief name. Whatever challenge you may be facing, call upon the name, the rest of the names – of sickness, barrenness, failures, sorrow, or affliction will bow. Soon, your enemy will submit to you. Psalms 18:44 says, “As soon as they hear of me, they shall obey me: the strangers shall submit themselves unto me”. Whatever the enemy trusts in, you just trust in the name of the Lord. They will fall never to rise (Isaiah 54:15). And you shall rise by the name of the Lord. God is on your side.

Prayer: Lord, let your name always be in my mouth.
