Sometimes our challenges make us lose focus on God. We need to realise that this is the trick of the devil. He only wants to smartly disconnect us from our source. And a river that is disconnected from its source will soon dry up.   Abraham was looking for his own way to make things happen in his life and started losing focus on God by getting another wife to fulfil the promise of God. Hosea 4:1-10

One of the forces that is ruling the lives of men is the force of ignorance. A man of God said, “We don’t have a devil’s problem, but an ignorance problem. Though this may not look true to you, it is a sure truth. What makes a man refuse to accept the truth is also a function of ignorance.

There is a need for Christians to ask themselves this question: “Is the devil stronger than God?” The answer is no! Then why is it that many Christians are suffering under the torment of the devil today? It is not because our God is not good or not powerful, but we have refused to work in the knowledge of the truth. See, it is what you don’t know how to handle that terrifies you. Under normal circumstances, if you see a lion, you will escape for your life. But do you know that some human beings know how to tame it and play with it? The difference is knowledge.

To gain knowledge, you must see the need for it. Seek it with all your heart till you find the answer. Get books that address your particular situation and read them. Be equipped also with the word of God. Attend conferences and seminars that address where you are behind, and you will see a solution. Don’t be content with your state of ignorance. Seek, and you shall find; that is what the Bible says (Matthew 7:7). Understand that reading is not an automatic instrument for liberty, but until it changes and empowers you for change. Reading will lead you out of trouble. There is always a way, if only you can find out (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Prayer: Lord, give me a strong drive to search for the truth of your word.
