People don't think wisely enough that all that has a beginning must also have an end. But God is the only one who has no beginning and no end. God is the only source that cannot dry. Business may be up and down, but God is ever up. It will be wise to trust in the ever-flourishing God. A man that trusts in riches will soon be frustrated. The greatest problem most people have is mingling with wrong associations. This is not limited to evil association alone. Some associations may not look evil but the moment they are not to increasing you, they will surely decrease you. The moment they do not promote the gospel of Christ, they are indirectly promoting the devil. The reason many people can’t rule over their enemy is because they have something in common with the devil. And Jesus said, “A house divided against itself shall not stand” (Mark 3:24).

Let us stop deceiving ourselves; whatever is out of light is of darkness. You know that the kind of people you are working with are not godly people and you know what they do, but you still try to call them your friends or associates. You need to know that association has a great influence on a man. You may be saying you don’t do what they are doing, but do you know that your spirit approves what they do by being friendly with them? (James 4:4).

This in most cases, will weaken your spirit when you want to exercise spiritual authority. Because as far as the devil is concern you are one. Come out from among them. Choose to work with the children of God – people you know that will influence you in a godly way and a good way. When you walk with people of the same spiritual strength, you cannot be weak. You are not created for failure. Reject an association or group that does not employ light. If they don’t steal your light, they may quench it.

Prayer: Lord, help me to stop moving with the groups that weaken my authority.
