No man can live a worthy life without God. With all our knowledge and labour, if God does not crown it with his help, all will still be in vain (Psalm 127:1–2). This then brings the need for God in your life. If you want to live without God, your life will be full of sorrow and regrets.   The three wise men in our scripture sought the Lord as soon as they were aware of his birth; they denied themselves, left everything and ...

The foundation of a building goes a long way to determine the stability of the building. So also if anyone will walk in wisdom to have dominion in the midst of his enemy, he must lay a proper foundation of this wisdom. One of the components of the foundation is friendliness with God. Your friendly attitude with God determines how much you will be able to exploit his strength for victory.

All of us in the world know how much we have to pay in prices to keep friendship. This is because we know what we may likely enjoy from it. You know that to keep a friend, you endure so much, forgive and tolerate many times. Sometimes we may not wish to go out, but because we need to satisfy our friend, we do it.

There are also different reasons why you open your door of friendship to different people. Some for-security reasons, others for companionship and some others as business friends or associates. That is why you and I have to understand that if we must rule in this world, we need to make God our friend. That is when we can dominate over our world for Jesus.

And as a friend of God, we must be willing to obey His instructions and walk in His will. This will be wisdom to keep God on your side. Then no one can be against us (Romans 8:31). Let us not love Him with our lips but in our deeds. Let us always love His words, fellowship and His presence. Then we will be communing with divine strength to rule in this world of evil. And we shall reign.

Prayer: Lord, help me to keep my friendship with you.

“YOUR STRENGTH IS DETERMINED BY THE STRENGTH BEHIND YOU”
