STRENGTH IN GOD

STRENGTH IN GOD 2 Corinthians 10:1-6 Devotional:- “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds” (V4) NKJV      Many Christians today have so much confusion about their strength in God. It has made the church think that a few limited people can demonstrate the strength of God. So, multitudes are weak in strength. Though they come to church, yet in times of challenges, you see them rushing to another Christian whom they know to be stronger in God. Neglecting the fact that a New Testament believer is a potential priest and king for Christ (Revelation 5:10; Mark 16:17).

TRAP OF ADULTERY

TRAP OF ADULTERY

Proverbs 6:20-29
Devotional:- “For by means of a harlot A man is reduced to a crust of bread; And an adulteress will prey upon his precious life” (V. 26) NKJV

The terrible trouble the enemy has put into the lives of some people is adultery. Through this so many lives have been ruined. It is a product of weaknesses or lack of self-discipline in the five senses which have allowed demons to enforce it on the soul. So many young and dynamic brains have been turned into dustbins. So many destinies have been destroyed (Proverb 7:6-14). So many homes have been turned to holes, love has been turned to hatred, many integrities have been stolen, and financial giants have been turned to paupers. Many greatness has been destroyed and many mighty men have fallen.

In the book of Judges, one could see the story of Samson a Nazarene of God, a man endowed with strength from heaven but he entered a trap of adultery. He never knew how to get rid of this trouble till it got rid of him.

If you find yourself or your relation in a web-like this today, there is a way out in Christ Jesus. So many people are already in this trap and they do it in the secrets. Your future cannot be fulfilled when your integrity is being soiled here and there.

Ask Jesus to come into your life and change you. Start to feed your heart with the word of God because that spirit lives in the heart. Always plead the blood of Jesus on your mind to flush the thought away (1 Corinthian 10:4-5). Ask the Holy Spirit to take over your heart and grant you the power to say no to sin. When your friends or flesh bring the suggestion, say no to it. Your body is the temple of God not of sin (1 Corinthians 3:16). Tell the devil to get out. In Christ Jesus you have authority over the devil and his demons (Mark 16:17; Luke 10:19). Your day of glory has started.

PRAYER: LORD, GRANT ME GRACE TO SAY NO TO SIN.
